    *Walk In Center - The Center is open Monday through Friday with two shifts available: 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.                                        A monthly schedule is made up showing who has signed up for each shift.  

   Duties may include: Greeter/receptionist, typing, computer skills (always welcome, but not a must), answering the phone and                                       writing down messages, making calls.

   F.I.S.H. makes monthly mailings which require assistance in folding forms, stuffing envelopes, and placing labels. During the                                      annual fund appeal, bulk mailings are done, which also require stuffing envelopes. Sometimes preparing thank you notes may be                                         needed. If you have computer skills, you might be asked to help enter data from a special mailing.

  Occasionally, F.I.S.H. will contact the Member-Volunteers by telephone to advise them of upcoming functions, meetings,                                                     up-dated information, etc. A volunteer will be given a list of names and numbers to contact, the information to be given to the contact,                                  and a coordinator to whom the results would be reported.   

  *Ad Hoc Committee Work - During various times of the year, the Board of Directors may require the formation of a special committee.                           Committee work may consist of information gathering, telephoning, computer work, surveys and/or mailings.

  *Events - Volunteers are needed to help at a variety of outreach and fundraiser events and could include any of the following:                                               A “meet and greet” person, help with set-up and/or clean up, decorating, serving food and beverages, handing out information brochures                                   or answering questions. Events may include golf tournaments, the Open House, the Annual Meeting/Volunteer Luncheon, Islands Night at                                     the ballpark, Fourth of July parade, Baileyfest (October), and more as F.I.S.H. is invited to participate.  

  *Food Pantry - There are a variety of duties to choose from:

1.  Tending the Walk In Center from 4:00 - 5:30 PM on Wednesdays to greet clients, weigh the food that is picked up, and enter the                                     weight into the log book

2.  Picking up food on island from various businesses and/or organizations that collect for the Food Pantry or donate to the Food Pantry
