HURRICANE INFORMATION F.I.S.H. partners with the City of Sanibel and maintains an updated list of safe havens, both Lee County Shelters and area hotels, noting pet friendly, handicapped accessibility, and restaurant availability. F.I.S.H. does NOT provide evacuation transportation. Special Needs Information for the Special Needs Shelters is also available from FISH through Hurricane Packets which are distributed at the beginning of Hurricane Season, and are available at the Walk In Center. Special Needs applications for the Special Needs Hurricane Shelters should be filled out and filed long before a hurricane even forms. Applications are not accepted when the hurricane is just a few days away. |
